Droid Eris not getting Froyo

 Official word has come from Verizon that the Droid Eris will not be receiving an update to Android 2.2 ("Froyo"). Considering the device already hit end-of-life, this shouldn't really surprise anyone. Luckily for you, the determined Eris user, there are ways to get Froyo onto your phone.
